  Throwing out literature left in public places

  i have done it for years for wts literature.

  i am not talking about something that's someone's property, like a library book, just literature left on benches and such.. today i saw a tract saying, "why am i here?

  " i snagged it and took a look.

  Leaving Wts around the place is littering! My mother taught me being a litterbug is not nice!......if I find any, I bin it.x

  My Uncle is Dying.

  nearly a year ago my uncle was diagnosed with prostate cancer - he initially thought it was just a bladder infection and it took him passing out to go have more serious tests.

  thus he received this news and shared it with us, his family.. the family rallied behind him and we all did everything we could to get him to his treatments, make sure he ate properly and supported him.

  my cousins came out from the uk when it looked like he was going to die in a couple of days.

  Hi LB, Im very sorry x

  Ive just lost a family member last week from bowel cancer that was misdiagnosed as Irritable bowel.......I know what you are going through. When I was nursing, we were trained to help patients achieve "a good death".......I never realised what that really was until recently. Its being with them, telling them they are loved, saying what you need to say, giving comfort, making sure the care is the best you can get............

  You are doing a valuable thing...telling him he is loved and being there with him. Nobody could ask for more. After all, being loved and giving love is what life is all about really............................

  My thoughs are with you, keep strong x

  What question would you ask a visiting Governing Body Member?

  Im a lady you know!......but I resemble my dad. Always wish I looked a bit more feminine...why do girls look like their dads and boys like their mums sometimes? Anyway, I ve had 2 kids, Im definately a girl......x

  Most entertaining platform misdeed.

  many years ago before assembly halls we used to hire large halls for circuit assemblies.

  the public talk, always after lunch on the sunday was always the big (though boring) event.

  the chairman sat on the stage all the time whilst the speaker for the hour long talk droned on.

  bang out of order seems to have made a couple of posters laugh on here, as they had never heard it before.. it's wierd for me because it's a saying i have always heard/used...good old british slang.. it means that what someone has said is hurtful and unacceptable.. some slang terms from where i come from in the ''black country''.. up the wooden hills - go to bed.

  put the wood in the hole - shut the door.

  chuffed - pleased.
